Major construction projects covered for Laing O’Rourke, Galliford Try and more
HIDEAWAY Studios Group continues to capture leading office developments on sites across the country, for the UK’s biggest contractors and our nationally renowned clients.
Ranging from a few months to multiple years, we are able to capture office builds no matter their duration thanks to both our long-term remote networking capabilities and in situ video work.
A number of our previous projects have focused on flagship builds, including the new Scottish Power headquarters in Glasgow for one of the UK’s biggest construction companies, Laing O’Rourke.
The £80m project in Scotland’s largest city is an impressive 14-storeys high and will house over 1,500 of the energy firm’s staff.
Other headquarter projects we have worked on include:
• The fit-out of Hutchison 3G’s (Three) new headquarters, also in Glasgow
• The construction of Rayner’s new facility in East Worthing
• And work at Providence Place for the UK’s 7th largest building society, The West Brom
Our work on office builds alone takes us up and down the UK, having provided innovative video capture and remote site monitoring from as far north as central Scotland, right down to the South Coast. Just some of the locations of the projects include Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Cambridge and Harlow.
The vast geographical spread of sites where we have worked reflects our ability to deliver our specialist services anywhere, regardless of location, environment and duration.
For example duration was a key factor when providing major logistics company Southampton Freight Services with full documentation of their headquarters re-fit, which took place over a period of just two months.
To capture the nine-week remodelling and refurbishing of their new mixed-use office and warehouse facility, we used a combination of rapid interval time-lapse for construction work, specialist motorised stabilisation rigs for walkthroughs and high definition video in order to create the most comprehensive narrative possible.
And we are very pleased to be currently working with Soton Freight once again, capturing time-lapse and video at their headquarters.
In fact we often work with our clients on multiple occasions, such as with leading commercial property developer MEPC. We have already captured numerous office build projects for them and are continuing to do so.
One of these completed projects – 10 Wellington Place – marked the first major office development in the city centre of Leeds for five years. The finished building achieved “excellent” BREEAM status for both design and construction.
We are also documented a number of high-profile projects for MEPC in Oxfordshire, including 60 Jubilee Avenue, 155 Brook Drive and 55 Western Avenue.
Other office builds we are currently capturing include:
• Forbury Place, Reading, for Galliford Try
• New Bailey, Manchester, for Capital Properties & English Cities Fund
Following the completion of every project, our highly skilled team of editors carefully sort through all the footage and images captured, applying a number of post-production techniques to create a truly stunning video.
As with MEPC, Galliford Try and others, such edits are then used conjunction with the company’s marketing initiatives and shared via various channels to their stakeholders and the wider public.
